From the heart of President Dr. Y.B. Al-Haj Abdul Azeez.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Being the president of As Salihath, I am very much proud to give a message that is to be published on the website of the college that inhibits full in my heart. Alhamthulillah. 

This college was established with the noble aim of making Dheen reach female community. It was started as a full-time residential college in the year 1995 at the residence of Eng. Y.B. Abdul Majeed (Director General, Irrigation Department) on the advice of several founder members such as my brother, the late AL-Haj Eng. Y.B. Abdul Majeed (Director General, Irrigation Department) and AL-Haj,  K.L. Ismail (Safeena Gold House).

After that, considering the increase of the students and the increase in the need for physical resources, the current location was identified and the college was transferred on 16.07.1997 and, with the help of Allah, it has been functioning very well till today. Until today, from various parts of Sri Lanka  259 Aalimas, 65 Hafizas and 83,Muballikas have graduated and are engaged in the teachings of Quran, the word of Allah. Further, it is a pride that this college has been the taproot of the  emergence of many new women’s Madrasas in Sri Lanka and the revival of religion. In the background of  the emergence of this college, this region itself is shining with the blessing of Words of Allah.

When brother Eng.Abdul Majeed got promotion and went from Ampara to Bandarawela , the founders who had a dedicated heartily and joined him in his huge administrative responsibilities, managed this college in a smooth manner. On 23-03-2009, Al-Haj Eng. M.B Naleem and I worked together with the dedication  and concluded the graduation ceremony on 05-04-2009. After that, on 09.04.2011, a new management board was formed and I was the President and Mr. T.M. Sajith (CDO) was the  secretary and while the treasurer Al-Haj M.A. Abusali (Rtd QCA) was  elected. Due to the illness of AL-Haj, Abusali, from …. onwards, AL-Haj, K.L. Al-Ameen (Rtd TO/NHDA) and whole Management Board with Allah’s help were working deductively.  Meanwhile, we also held a graduation ceremony on 28.11.2015. I witness many miracles of Allah in this college. For example, on 17.03.2012, while digging pits for planting coconut trees in the premises of this Madharasa, water springs gushed out while digging about seven feet deep on a high hill. Those springs continues to be the main source of water for this Madharasa. We are all discharging our duties as much as we can, with faith in Allah.

Here, the students who are enrolled to this Al-Quran section of this college are educated as Hafizs and Aalimas and also appear for government examinations like G.C.E. (O/L) and GCE (A/L) . Not only that, the students who are enrolled to the Sharia section are also taught information technology, tailoring, leadership training and other social knowledge necessary for our religion , such as bathing and burying women’s funerals. Our goal is that such students should be able to manage their own college in the future and continue to serve to Dheen.

I pray to Almighty Allah , with His blessings and grace  make it capable of spreading the religion to the entire world until the Day of Judgment. Wassalamu Alaikum
